A levels as an External Candidate without attending a college

Hello people. I’ve researched a lot on my matter and emailed quite a few colleges regarding alevels to be sat as an external student in the UK without having to physically attend school in the day time.

I live in Leicester, so the most convenient centre has to be one that’s close and not like London in whose most of the posts mention. The colleges suggest to me by my old secondary school do not have place for external candidates to just sit the exams on the day.

I would use great help if you could provide any colleges which “actually” take a levels to be sat privately and externally. I’m going for aqa and I visited their site to find centres near me but I’ve contacted all of them and from the ones I got responses from do not take external candidates.

I’ve tried Tutors and exams, but they are way too costly for my affording costing more than £500 per subject and science practicals which are up to £900, which is too expensive considering I’m taking two sciences and one maths for my a levels. They are just too expensive for me.

I’ve researched quite a lot but can’t find anywhere trust worthy which aren’t scams

I hope you can help me out on this.

You will have to pay to take the exams.

The link is an official search tool to find centres that DO accept private candidates. You must be using it incorrectly.

Is there a specific reason you really can’t attend? Why don’t you just go to a sixth form college and sit your exams there? It will be free and you get help from teachers and guidance during your studies. If you go to more of a college environment where they teach a levels, they are less strict on attendance as long as you’re performing
