LNAT Help - international applicant who doesn't know what she's doing....

I am an international applicant and I don't know anyone who's ever done the LNAT so I figured I could ask here!

My LNAT is in about a week and I'm just wondering whether I am in a good place or not. I have done a bunch of practice papers from a variety of places - I tend to be averaging around 27-28 on Arbitio, got a 30 in the simulation, and usually around 36-39 in the book I have (sorry I don't have it on me, I don't know which one it is!). In terms of the essays, I've done a little less of those and haven't sent any to tutors yet but I have been reading through some that I've found online and have been trying to mirror them.

I have no idea whether this is a good place to be in or not - I am applying to Oxford, LSE, UCL, KCL, and Edinburgh so most of them require the LNAT and I have no idea what I'm doing! I would appreciate any guidance whatsoever...

Your multi-choice scores are good. Last year the average score of successful applicants to read Law at Oxford was 27. IIRC, one candidate scored 16 (or maybe 18) and obtained an offer, and another candidate scored 37 and was rejected without interview - Oxford looks at the overall picture.

Perhaps try a few more practice essays. Carry on reading news and current affairs to assist with the essay question.

Are you applying for the common law course at Edinburgh, or the Scots law course?

Good luck!

PS "I've done fewer of these...". The word "less" relatively quantifies a singular. The word "fewer" relatively quantifies a plural. Thus a person might say "less jam, fewer spoons".

PS: Write your essay in your own style, expressing your own thoughts. Don't try to mirror others.
