Hey there 😁

Many congrats on your offers! 🥳

If you're trying to connect with local students, check university websites to see if they offer opportunities to speak with current students. They can provide valuable information and insights. Additionally, you can search for Facebook groups for current students and post your questions there.

As you make your final decision, be sure to consider which aspects are most important to you.

I hope it was helpful 💪 Feel free to reach out if you have any questions 😉 You can also chat with me or other students directly through The Ambassador Platform.

Good luck,

I guess a major thing to consider (if you're not a commuting student) is the location. Goldsmiths is in south-east London (not the most nicest of parts either!), whereas Royal Holloway isn't in London at all (there's a building in Central London - Bedford Square - but if you're an undergrad, you're not that likely to be taught there or need to go there much, afaik). Egham/Englefield Green, where Royal Holloway is, is a fairly quiet area, and the walk to/from the train station is quite a long one uphill/downhill. That suits some people more than others. There are buses but going up and down the hill via bus as an undergrad will inevitably add up over time - so if walking up and down hills is not your thing (it's certainly not mine!), you may wish to consider Goldsmiths more strongly.

That said, Goldsmiths is undergoing a 'transformation' process atm. You should check whether your subjects are on the hitlist for cuts before deciding, imho. You can read more about it on the Goldsmiths SU's website.
