A level AQA skeleton code

Im a year 13 and we just got the skeleton code- can someone actually explain what it is and why we need it? And how to use it- do we need to study it/ make notes on it or debug it?

Hi Sam a skeleton code is a piece of code that helps you prepare for your final exams. You are meant to study it and create possible questions to be asked on that code, so you have it as a preparation resource to help you in the Paper 1 exam. I hope this helps.

2025 Skeleton code is fairly straight forward. The main focus is on Regular Expressions. Check out the wikibook and possibly ZigZag questions. I run some voluntary explanatory sessions every year - will try to record something and share soon.

Do You Think They Will Ask Us To Change The Ascii Implementation Of The Preliminary Material?

E.G. Instead Of A List They Might Make Us To Write It Out As A Tower In The CLI?
And Do You Know The General Success Rate From Guessing What Questions They Ask?

Thanks So Much

Guess work is closer to zero. Some parts always come up though e. G. Validation routines

I don't know if there's any apetite for that? Are there many students struggling?

I'm happy to arrange but find it quite difficult to spread the information and gather enough students who may be interested.

Do you want to collaborate on that side?

I think there is. I will for sure attend and if you can share it with enough people then they will also attend.
