Finished degree but not placement

i graduated back in 2022 with a BSc honours in adult nursing. However i never completed all placement hours. I was supposed to complete these after the course, and despite emailing consistently, was never given a chance to. so i have my degree but never got chance to register with the nmc. I now definitely want to go back and complete these hours but don’t know how i’d go about that. Any ideas?
i’ve emailed the university as well as several other but replies are incredibly slow.

In general, your University should have kept in touch with you. I would recommend giving them a call instead - responses are usually more quicker this way. Best of luck :smile:

you have waited 2 years, you are getting close to not being able to get on the nmc. seems odd to award you a degree but not to have completed your practice hours.

I have just finished my nursing course and NMC registered and from what I know you don’t get to graduate if you haven’t finished your placements as this are all added to your module awards and graded. Best to go into the uni or call, also good to connect with your academic advisor who you were assigned to back when you were in Uni. Good luck.

How have they signed off degree if you’ve not completed course requirements ie 2309 hours of practice? Go back to tutor at uni, ring nmc andConsult your union
