Hi, So I am currently in Year 12 about to start my EPQ. I want to go to medical school one day so I was thinking my current idea must be ethical and just what will impress during medical school interviews. But an idea I current have and very much interested in: “The neuroscience behind habit formation and breaking bad ones” . I wanted to write a fictional work on this targeted mainly for children and teenagers but I’m not quite sure if it is a good idea considering my aspiring future course. And I also heard university really love the ethical questions about medicine. Thanks in advance for help

Have you considered an EPQ in conditional neuroscience? Start by performing an experiment and add a behaviour factor into the process that will result in an emotional reaction. For example, when you microwave something, start smiling. Then when you microwave something you may start to smile without purposely starting it. It'll take time but hopefully if you stick to it, you should get a good result. Write about the ethics of perfoming this experiment on yourself and if the emotional reaction continues after you have concluded the experiment and hae started the write up. Hope this helps
