Which college is the best for law at Cambridge?

There is no “best college”, but some of the more popular colleges for law include Downing, Gonville and Caius and St John’s. That being said, you should not apply to a college simply because you think it’s “the best” for your subject. Most of your teaching, including some of your supervisions, will be outside of your college anyway. You should pick a college based on a range of factors, such as accommodation, location, facilities and size. If possible, I would encourage you to visit Cambridge to get a feel for the colleges and make your final decision then. If not, there are information webinars offered by several colleges, which could help you make up your mind. I’ll also be applying to study law this year at Cambridge - best of luck with your applications :smile:

It’s also common for people to advise against applying for popular Law colleges like Downing — you’re shooting yourself in the foot!
