Feeling friends don’t like me

I’m in london to see my friends that won a hotel package. We went to a pub but didn’t spend too long, and today they haven’t replied to my texts. Now I’m left hungover stressing over if it’s because they’re not too bothered to see me. I’m rather awkward and so I always feel that with people and I don’t know what to do.

Hey, don’t stress over them, they could be busy or still hungover as well!

Give it some time; If things continue on like this for the current week, they’re not worth stressing over - focus on something else instead.

Anyways, I hope everything will turn out well for you. Wish you all the best!

Yeah they eventually replied and it's all good, was just a bit annoying they're staying together and I'm left on my own until they do. I basically have no friends and that was the most sociable thing I've done in a long time so I was quite stressed. Going back to uni and seeing everyone out with friends makes me feel a bit lonely as well. I don't really know anyone to :frown:

Don’t worry, it takes time to make your own personal circle too.

I’m in the same boat as I’ve just swapped schools in my final two years of school - I didn’t know anyone here, resulting in temporary loneliness (as you felt yourself, it is upsetting to see others who have known each other for months socialise happily while you sit and hope that one day you’ll face the same feeling).

However, I gave myself the chance to take every opportunity in know the people around me - e.g. in my classes. Eventually, I found people who relate and took this opportunity to befriend and hang out with them!

So don’t let the stress get to you and perhaps start off with something simple; Such as talking to the person next to you. There’s always someone who feels the same way and is looking for someone to get rid of the loneliness.

Have you tried to talk to them maybe face to face or wrote a letter to them and send it to their house?
