Am I a competitive applicant for maths at Imperial?

Just curious, how did you get (max) a 7 in GCSE maths but double A* in maths and fm? I feel like that will be looked at just because it’s a bit weird…
Idk tho, I’m guessing getting like 7.2 or more will get you into imperial (idk tho I’m also applying imperial for maths this year). But good reference defo helps.

Yeah im applying to Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, UCL and KCL.
I either get an offer at a top university or do a gap year 😂

Why KCL? Ofc it’s a good uni and in London but in terms of maths it’s pretty far down the uni rankings. Which is why I’ve chosen Bath as my 5th choice. Apart from that I’m doing the same as you. Good luck regardless!

Luckily for you, imperial doesn’t care about GCSEs.
But you do need a 6 in English language (or do one of the accepted English tests).
I agree with the people above me: Bath/Durham> kcl. Ignore the global rank for KCL; it’s carried by useless metrics.

On the website haven't they changed it to a 5 in English for 2025?
