Biomed engineering at NTU

I’m not sure if it would be worth studying biomedical engineering at Nottingham uni Trent. It’s ranked 42th out of 43 universities. Can someone help please ?

Why is the rank important to you? What do you want to do with the degree once you graduate? Will you be able to do that with a degree from Nottingham Trent?

Is the rank not important? 😭but the research quality shows n/a in the league table. What mostly matters to me is the employability so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to secure a job after the degree ?

Unless you know what the rank is measuring and you consider those measures important to you, then the rank has no value.

You mention that NTU's Research Quality is listed as N/A, which presumably means that they don't do Biomedical Engineering research, which is potentially why they are ranked where they are. Are you particularly interested in whether or not they do Biomedical Engineering research?

You say your interested in employability. Is that a factor which included in whatever league table you're looking at? There's lots of employability data on The Uni Guide, here. It shows that six months after graduating from Nottingham Trent with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, 98% are employed or in further education, with 73% being engineering professionals. Those sound like decent stats to me. And, importantly, it's the data you're interested in. Not the data some anonymous league table compiler has opted to use.
