Can’t find my flatmates
I’m starting at the university of Southampton in a few weeks and have looked everywhere for my flatmates and can’t find anyone on my floor, let alone in my flat ☹️
I’m staying in Wessex lane block L flat 8 - it’s a quiet flat as well I believe
If I don’t end up finding anyone then is going without knowing them first really that bad? Everyone I know has at least found a couple of their flatmates and it’s just worrying me idk

It is natural to be worried. But, honestly, it doesn't make a difference whether you find out your flatmates beforehand or not since, usually people only get to know eachother properly when they move in and meet eachother in person. And there will be plenty of time, when you move in, for you to talk with your flatmates and get to know them.

Hi @rosina05 ! I'm not in the same flat as you, but I will also be in Wessex Lane Block L (I'm in flat 3) and I also have a quiet flat!! I haven't found any of my flatmates either (although I've only looked on here so far) but I'm sure it will be fine and we can talk to eachother for now if you want? What are you studying??

History sounds great!! I am really looking forward to it tbf and have been for ages but the nerves are starting to kick in a bit now 😭

I get what you mean!! I’ve just had a gap year so I’ve been down to Southampton a couple times to get familiar with everything and it all seems really cool, but starting university is definitely quite daunting now

Omg yes everything there is super cool!! The campus is gorgeous as well it’s really exciting but everything is gonna be so different 😢
