UCAT medicine help

I’ve sat my ucat and got. 2480 b3 I’m planning to do a gap year and hopefully get my a level grades. Is it possible to get a 2900 to sit it next year? And when should I revise? I got so unlucky with my exam especially since dm was so different to what was on medify medentry and officials website, QR didn’t go so well either.

Can someone advise me what I could do? And I used medentry mostly for practice does anyone have any advice of how I can definitely ensure I’ll score 2850+-2900? Is it even possible?

I sat the ucat this year and scored 3400 b3, I would say best piece of advice is if you can afford it even just for a month use both medify and MedEntry. Complete all the official UCAT mocks and especially for sjt use the official websites questions. I would say 6 weeks of revision is definitely enough considering you’re already familiar with the question types, honestly just do as many mocks as you physically can I think in total I did 35+ and as long as you’re seeing improvement that’s all that matters. You can never guarantee how it’s going to go but mindset on the day is also so so important be cool and confident !!! I hope that helps and good luck with everything 🫶🫶

Hey can I DM you anywhere? Thanks for the reply and I hope to sit it next year, do you think it’s possible to do better next year to reach my goal score? I feel like I was really thrown off after doing DM after seeing it was so unfamiliar, I was scoring a lot higher on my mocks 2700-2800 on medentry and on officials I’m so empty.. and how did you revise efficiently? What was your ucat plan?

Yep ofc!!! I don't fully know how the student room works but my Instagram is @rubyelp_ . As cheesy as it sounds i do think as long as you set your mind to it a score of 2900 is achievable especially if you're currently averaging close to it. However obviously if there's little things like you struggle with maths or fast reading etc that's pretty important to improve. I would say I did revise efficiently, I leant the question types, sections and all that very far in advance so i could have around 6 weeks to just focus on practice. I did no untimed practice and spent around 1-2 weeks doing timed, completed diagnostic mocks to find my weak points and then for around 4 weeks did 1 mock a da, a review of that mock in the evening and if I had any energy left I did a few question sets. If I needed a break day I had it and I tried as hard as possible to simulate the actual exam with mock time of day and conditions. feel free to send a DM if you need!!

Hey thank you I requested your Instagram account just now and when did you learn the question types in advance? I’m very familiar but I’m unlucky with them in the exam as they were way harder than anything I’ve seen
