Graduate entry medicine A-level requirements

Hi, just finished a degree in biomedical science and now looking to apply for dentistry/ med. however I got crappy levels due to covid in 2020. I got BCC in bio, chem and maths so went to do a degree thinking it would be another route to medicine. However I was somewhat wrong as the majority of unis require ABB with a B in chemistry regardless of my degree grade. So my question is, if I redo alevel chemistry under a different exam board does this count as a resit. And does it count as a resit if I completely redo the level 4 years later? Tia

I'd recommend that you email the universities admissions you wish to apply to and personally ask them, but my understanding is that GEM courses are usually happy to accept A level resits. There are also some universities that skip A-level requirements if your degree is deemed to have enough Chemistry - as is the case with, for example, Queen Mary's GEM programme. Biomed is usually deemed to have enough Chemistry. Those universities are worth checking out too!
I agree with the advice that’s been given. Consider see ring you have completed a degree in Biomed there are loads of unis that you would be eligible to apply for depending on your entrance exam score. My personal opinion don’t bother going for the ones that you would need to resit your A Levels for. You are already not limited in the sense that most unis will accept a degree in Biomedical science and ask for a minimum of a 2.1. There are quite a few GEM unis that will only look your degree result with regards to academia so I wouldn’t worry too much!

All the best ☺️
