Suggestions for post-2000 novels for NEA EngLit A level comparative study?

I'm stuck and can't think of what I want to compare with Streetcar as it can only be post-2000 which kind of sucks. Currently thinking of Atonement but I don't want to be basic. Any ideas?

Got it! Here are the ideas with unbolded titles:
1. *The Shape of Water* (2017) - Directed by Guillermo del Toro, this film shares themes of isolation, societal rejection, and the quest for connection, which parallel some of the themes in *Streetcar*. The way it explores unconventional relationships and societal norms might offer an interesting contrast.
2. *Blue Valentine* (2010) - This film, directed by Derek Cianfrance, deals with the complexities of relationships and emotional turmoil. It’s a raw and realistic portrayal of a crumbling relationship, similar to how *Streetcar* examines troubled relationships and personal breakdowns.
3. *A Ghost Story* (2017) - Directed by David Lowery, this film’s exploration of time, memory, and the human condition might offer a unique lens through which to view *Streetcar*’s themes of past trauma and personal history.
4. *Her* (2013) - Directed by Spike Jonze, this film delves into themes of isolation and the search for meaningful connections in a modern world, echoing some of the emotional and relational themes of *Streetcar*.
5. *The Hours* (2002) - While a bit older, this film directed by Stephen Daldry examines the lives of three women connected by Virginia Woolf’s *Mrs. Dalloway*. It explores themes of mental illness, societal expectations, and personal despair, resonating with *Streetcar*’s focus on psychological and social struggles.
These films could provide a rich analysis of similar themes and emotional landscapes, while also highlighting how these themes are addressed in different contexts and styles.
sorry for long list
