Should I change biology A level for english language????? Help!!!

I start year 12 next week and I'm doing psychology, politics and biology for a level. I think I may want to pursue psychology but I'm not totally sure. I don't think I'll enjoy biology a level but I know a lot of top unis like biology a level for a psychology degree. I'm thinking of studying english language instead of biology but I'm not sure if I'd regret it if I do decide to pursue psychology. Should I be logical and do biology or follow my gut which says I may change my mind career-wise and do something I think I would enjoy more?? I'm terrified that i'll take biology and end up hating it a year into my a levels. What's the right decision in this situation?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! It’s awesome that you’re thinking ahead about this. Starting Year 12 is a big deal, and it’s totally normal to be unsure about what to pick.
If you’re leaning towards psychology but aren’t 100% sure, it makes sense to think about what subjects will keep your options open. A lot of top unis do like biology for psychology degrees, but it’s not always a hard requirement. If you think you’d really enjoy English Language and feel like you might change your mind about your career path, it might be worth going with what you’re passionate about.
A-Levels can be tough, and enjoying your subjects can make a big difference. If you’re already dreading biology, it might not be the best idea to take it just because you think you “should.” You don’t want to end up hating it and having that stress affect your other subjects.
Maybe talk to a teacher or a careers advisor at school to get more info on what unis really require for psychology. But at the end of the day, it’s your choice, and doing something you enjoy could make your next two years a lot more fun and less stressful. Trust your gut—you know yourself best!
Good luck with whatever you decide! 😊

Hi!!!
Thanks so much for your response. I think you might be right about it being best for me to do what I'll enjoy. The last thing I want is to be miserable for two years. I'll be sure to take your advice on board. Thanks so much for all your help!
