The Best Student Discounts

Who doesn’t love a good discount?

I know it isn’t always easy working with a student budget and you want to make your money go as far as possible. So, it’s important to save where you can. And student discount offers are a great place to start.

There are so many offers out there, but these are some of my current favourites.

For fashion:
Dr. Martens 10% off and free delivery online (UNiDAYS)
Schuh 10% off full price and sale items
ASOS 10% off (UNiDAYS)
Gymshark 10% off (Student Beans)

For restaurants:
Toby Carvery 20% off Mains Mon-Fri (UNiDAYS)
Prezzo unlimited £2 drinks when you buy a main meal, 25% off your bill, all-you-can-eat pizza for £10 (valid until 4pm on Sundays) (all via UNiDAYS)
Black Sheep Coffee - £2 hot/ice drinks every Monday (UNiDAYS)

For the creatives out there, you can get 10% off at Hobbycraft instore and online (UNiDAYS) and 10% off at Cass Art also instore and online (UNiDAYS).

If you’re looking for some ways to keep fit while you study, check out PureGym and the Gym Group, as both gyms usually have different student offers throughout the year.
If you’re a BCU student, you can also check out The Sir Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre, located on the Aston University campus, as you can receive a discount on the memberships on offer.

You can also use your student discount with digital platforms too. Spotify offers a £5.99 monthly student subscription, while Amazon Prime student lets you access Amazon Music, Video and Prime benefits for £4.49 a month.

In Birmingham, you can get discounted entry to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, reduced ticket prices on activities at The Bear Grylls Experience and £12 discounted entry to Cadbury’s World yum!

You can look out for discounts through apps such as UNiDAYS and Student Beans, as well as looking on brand websites directly.

I would also recommend that you always have your student ID card to hand when you’re out and about, as you never know when you might need it to prove your student status to claim a discount.

And always ask if student discount is available when you’re about to make a purchase, as you could be missing out on a great deal otherwise!

Hi

These are some great tips!

One thing I have started to do is ask at the till if they offer a student discount and always carry my student ID card around with me in my wallet to prove my student status.

It really does help to save a lot of money!

I hope this helps,

Matt
