Medical science with third class degree

Good morning, everyone. I'd like to ask for some information. It's always been my dream to study medicine. I finished my degree in medical science with third class honours this year and I've also been doing voluntary work in a hospital for a year now. I'd like to know what my chances would be of getting into medical school? Could I apply for a foundation course in medicine with this qualification? Would I have a chance to apply for a master's degree? I'm a bit lost, can anyone help me?

Some GEPs accept a 2:2 + masters but I don't think there are any that would accept a 3rd. Foundation courses are for widening participation applicants or for those without a science background.

Unfortunately, it's going to be difficult for you to get an offer. Could you study abroad?

You can check the requirements yourself here:

I’m sorry but there isn’t anywhere that will accept a third. There are few if any masters courses that would either. I would suggest looking at alternatives.

Hi,

There is actually Nottingham University who offer Graduate entry Medicine but the only thing is that you would have had to take the GAMSAT. The deadline for the September GAMSAT has now passed and I believe Nottingham will be closing their GEM course after 2025 for the foreseeable future.
