Paramedic

hey guys ive got dreams of being a paramedic or a mental health nurse but ive got adhd and depression do you think that could stop me from gettng those jobs, i know its healthcare and they deal with all sorts of patients but thats completely different to being in the job role i just need some advice ?

Having ADHD and/or depression shouldn't stop you getting from getting a job as either role.

I worded it like that because companies wont use mental health conditions against you but will instead help you understand how you manage them and how you cope with individually to make sure you're self aware of your well-being and health, and how it could impact on your practice. And in reality a huge amount of people in either job roles have mental health problems themselves, it's just how you manage it and what strategies can be put in place when exposed to jobs or scenarios that may exacerbate them (Because ultimately its unavoidable, we're going to experience service users in crisis and traumatic situations).
