Have another interview on Monday only this time for a teaching assistant at a local college. Very different to what I'm used to as I'm required to assist with the teaching of City & Guilds.evel 12&3 motor vehicle courses.
Can't help it but I certainly have mixed feelings about dropping down the spanners however, it's actually a trial that could indeed lead to a much more prosperous career. The oportunity of a job through AutoTech recruitment could still be an oportunity but I'm not prepared to wait as I'm looking at an oportunity to plug the unemployment gap.
Overalls on and spanners in hands is more my thing and there's still a chance I guess.

Had to turn the job down as you don't get paid for holiday periods, apparently you go back on Universal Credit and payments take far to long to come through making it pointless as you quickly fall into debt with your bills and rent...the government want everyone in debt!
As the job is temporary through an agency there is no point of even taking it, it's ideal for an older person with no money worries I.e mortgage paid off etc.
As a consequence I'm on the verge of receiving a benefit sanction and will happily take the matter to a tribunal and beat the DWP for the 8th time proving the system is a fault. A sanction is punishment for being unemployed and a means to abruptly claw back money for the social fund.

A sanction isn’t punishment for being unemployed. It’s punishment because you have chosen to turn down a job. You are unemployed through your own choice.

A sanction is punishment for being unemployed. It was devised by a corrupted bald headed **** called Ian Duncan Smith who has blood on his hands. Its so easy to pick on the less fortunate members of society which explains the huge gab between rich and poor. There are many who are far to naive to challenge the decision of a sanction in court, I have won 7 times now and I'm greatly looking forwards to winning again, its totally unjust and I for one won't tolerate it either. What do you expect people to do starve to death? Judging for the lack of clarity in your response I suppose that makes perfect sense. The current system does not work and the fact Labour are now in power things are only going to get much worse. The job of getting this country free from all dodge EU legislation has not yet been finished...the sooner we exit the European Court of Human Rights can we expect to retain full control of our boarders. Immigration is out of control which is why so many have become 3rd class citizens in their own country. There is no skills shortage and never has been either, its just a **** poor excuse for yet more immigration...its also why so many can't get into the field of work they studied so hard for, employers always want cheap labour.
If there was such a thing as democracy instead of dictatorship things wouldn't be so ****ed up.

How can one be unemployed based on their own choice? Clearly another ignorant and uneducated response.
Let's look at the main points of inconvenience as to why so many end up writtern off before picking up the tools to start the job

1.

Overqualified.

2.

Need Experience.

3.

Been unemployed too long.

4.

Too old (comes to us all eventually).
Everyone's experiance is different no matter the situation, if an employers door is shut to fresh talent expect no change anytime soon.

Five months have now passed since finding myself homeless amongst the downtrodden and long term unemployed. After leaving college in June 2024 and achieving so well the mental torture is unreal. Had only 8 interviews in total and told on several occasions that I will be called back for a second interview...many hadn't the audacity to even get back in touch.
Recently been referred to enroll for to the Class 2 driving licence only to later find out its actually a six month course so I pulled out as I need employment now.
The only alternative is to take the CSCS course in return for the basic green card and accept a crappy unskilled manual labouring job.
Despite holding many accreditations and being highly skilled all my efforts to better my chances as both a fully qualified mechanic and welder have all gone in vain...its apparent there is no skills shortage and never has been.
