Can anyone on Advanced Clinical Practitioner course let me know what it is like?

There is an Advanced Clinical Practitioner post going at the local GP surgery but I am unsure whether to pursue it at 45 yrs of age after working 20 years in the NHS.
I'm particularly worried about being used/over-worked and put into dangerous scenarios during the training, not given enough study time by the workplace and opportunities to learn .
Is anyone doing the ACP course (apprentiship) and can let us know what is the course/study/working balance.
Are you getting decent support from the surgery?
Are you getting study time from the surgery?
Are you getting learning from the surgery?
Or are you being used to milk the govt funding that GP surgeries get to take on PA/Pharmacists/nurses?
