Im currently in year 12 studying maths, computer science, physics and further maths, and would like to apply to a top uni for a computer science (Imperial, cambridge, warwick, UCL, unis of that standard), and Im thinking about whether I should drop a subject (physics) or not. Whilst I know that almost all of these universities only require 3 A levels, would taking an extra A level help my application stand out and make me more likely to get in, especially for such a competitive course? Is it one of those things that unis secretly prefer but just dont say it? Or is there really no difference.
No difference between taking 3 and 4, so you might as well just do 3. The only exception to this might be Cambridge, I'm not really familiar with them but you should check with their cs department by emailing them

Some schools only offer 3 A levels so of course unis can't discriminate.
