History and languages are listed as ‘helpful’ subjects not ‘recommended’. The only requirement for this course is to have English at A level, which you do, so no, you will not be disadvantaged for not studying a ‘helpful’ subject. As for your GCSEs, there are no GCSE requirements. It does seem as though Oxford tend to be less lenient than Cambridge when it comes to GCSE grades, but your grades are fine either way. So long as you meet the minimum requirements, you will not be at a disadvantage.
