new job blues

I recently started a new job and I've been feeling a bit low and overwhelmed. My old job was very a corporate environment and this new company is more innovative. I've worked in an innovative creative company before and I'm struggling to readjust again to this new environment.

My new team are really nice and friendly. I'm trying to have a positive mindset, but I just worry that I won't make any ''friends'' and I'll just be lonely. I'm trying to push myself out of my comfort zone more, so I can feel more confident and just be a better person and team player

I've never felt this "new job blues" feeling, since i did internships which was around 3yrs ago.

Any advice on how I can cope and be more positive

You’re amazing for already trying to put yourself out there!

Don’t worry about making friends as they definitely will come along soon - they show up when you gradually get to know someone.

One thing I’d recommend is to find something that makes you feel happier, like a glimmer in which changes your mood into a more positive state. Notice all the details and take your new work life slow, there’s no need to rush in making new friends. Finding your place takes time!

I wish you all the best. :h:
