GSCE Drama or Media Studies

I want to drop Media Studies for Drama because I've been involved in Musical Theatre my whole life. I didn't choose it last year so I might be behind if I switch. Is GSCE drama worth it? I have no intentions of becoming a professional actor but I'm interested in being more of an amateur actor, possibly do a BTEC. Help!

As someone who does both media and drama GCSE Drama requires a lot of work and dedication. joining a year late might cause you to be very far behind as there is los of content and coursework which they may have already finished. i know some schools do their devising in the first year which is 30% of the GCSE. so truly up to you if you feel as if you have time to put in a lot of effort to catch up. Also you don't need to have done drama GCSE for Drama BTEC. Media is such a fun subject but honestly a personal opinion. Hope this helps!!
