Need advice between taking Medicine or Biomed...

I am confused on which course would be best for me, i do not want to do anything related to surgery etc since I am uncomfortable with the idea of performing surgery and practising these things. I however, don't want to have a bleak career in biomed like others make it out to be. Any advice on these course and perhaps an explaination as to what specifically is inculded in these courses and possible career options. I'm scared of picking the wrong option and being unable to turn back...

A more helpful starting point would be what you do want to study, rather than what you don't. What interests you? Why are you considering these two courses in particular?

I find it an alright subject, i took it to my a-levels and got an 8 in my gcse's aswell so i guess it's safe to say im good at it

how about i introduce u to the world of pharmacy? i too was a lost and dusty guy unsure of what to do after flopping the ucat for medicine, i realised that pharmacy would work very well with my a levels (maths bio chem) so it motivated me to work harder and i achieved solid grades in them and will start the course soon in 2 weeks. its a highly employable degree considering the amount of placements u get as it is a healthcare degree.

Ah i hadnt even considered that - but thank you ill take a look into it too and see if it interests me. I do the same a-levels as you to i could try it too.

its a cool subject lots of experiments, placements, and pharmacy is a versatile degree ranging from something as small and humble as a community pharmacist at ur street to something amazing like dealing with radiopharmaceutics (radioactive drugs) to treat cancer.
Across every uni, it has a 100% employment rate. Overall, I consider it to be a heavily underrated subject as only 3 london unis offer it (KCL, UCL and kingston). from what i believe as pure facts, for those who love biochemistry but failed to get into medicine or cba, ur best options are pharmacy, physiology and optometry. Biomed from people ive talked to say they have to fight for placements cuz a pure Bsc biomed degree, is to be honest, useless due to the lack of placements offered by the uni and actual transferable skills generally.
