Advice on how to pass my exams ?

How to get good grades in GCSE English?
For English language you need to learn a structure for how to answer the different questions and also the terminology to use in each. You also need to learn how to effectively plan creative writing. When i was revising for my GCSE in English lang i didnt use past papers that much but it is helpful to frequently do essays throughout the year and have them marked (first self-assessed and then by your teacher) so you can know where to improve
For English literature you need to learn some good quotations. What texts do you do? I made flashcards with quotations from the text, then on the other side full language theme and context analysis. Learning themes and context is also really important. Id suggest watch YouTube videos on this and also using the notes on pmt. Doing practice essays is also really important for English lit. I did at least one per week during year 11, again mark yourself then get a teacher or someone on tsr to mark it! Paragraph and essay structure are also really important.
Btw i did aqa for English lang and ocr for English lit- both grade 9 so id be happy to give any further tips on exam tech or anything if you do either of those boards but if you dont i would be happy to answer any questions about how to revise 🙂
