Can someone advise me on English literature paper 2 Edexcel IGCSE on Macbeth and An Inspector Calls?

as I am going to answer the paper in November and I am not sure where to start but I know and have read the whole novel

Maybe some notes or how to get a grade 9 on the paper

im yr 11 but i have already done my english lit so here is some advice
Macbeth:
1. Understand Themes:
- Ambition and Power: Look at how Macbeth’s ambition drives the plot and how power corrupts him and others.
- Guilt and Conscience: Explore how Macbeth and Lady Macbeth deal with their guilt.
- Fate vs. Free Will: Consider how the witches’ prophecies influence Macbeth’s actions.
2. Character Analysis:
- Macbeth: Track his transformation from a loyal thane to a tyrant.
- Lady Macbeth: Examine her role in encouraging Macbeth and her eventual downfall.
- Supporting Characters: Think about how characters like Banquo and Macduff contribute to the story.
3. Key Scenes:
- Act 1, Scene 3: Macbeth’s first encounter with the witches.
- Act 2, Scene 1: Macbeth’s soliloquy before he murders Duncan.
- Act 5, Scene 5: Macbeth’s reaction to Lady Macbeth’s death and his realization of his fate.
4. Quotes and Language:
- Be familiar with significant quotes and analyze their meaning and impact.
- Look at Shakespeare’s use of imagery, soliloquies, and dramatic irony.
An Inspector Calls:

- Class and Inequality: Analyze the differences between the Birling family and Eva Smith.
- Change and Responsibility: Consider how each character responds to the Inspector’s revelations.
2. Character Analysis:
- Inspector Goole: Think about his role as a social critic and his impact on the characters.
- Mr. and Mrs. Birling: Explore their attitudes toward social class and responsibility.
- Sheila and Eric: Analyze their development and their responses to the Inspector.
3. Key Scenes:
- Act 1: The introduction of the Inspector and the revelation of Eva Smith.
- Act 2: Sheila and Eric’s confessions and their impact on the family.
- Act 3: The final revelation about the Inspector and the family’s reaction.
4. Quotes and Language:
- Know key quotes and be prepared to analyze them.
- Pay attention to Priestley’s use of dramatic irony and symbolism.
