Do unis care about EPQ? (vet med)

Hi, sorry if someone has asked this before but is it worth doing an EPQ?
I want to do vet med which is very competitive so I think it could be useful to have done an EPQ but I've heard people say that universities aren't that bothered about it. To be honest I don't really want to do it but I will if it will help. It just seems like a lot of extra work when I could be spending that time revising for my alevels and getting better grades. If you have done/are doing an EPQ is it hard to find time for everything? Do you think your grades are worse because of the EPQ or the same? And is it an advantage when you apply for uni? (especially veterinary science?)
Thank you!
Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
I think a lot of veterinary schools won't deliberately favour EPQ students as not every school offers EPQ, so it would be unfair for certain applicants. However, I think you can still use it to your advantage by mentioning it in your personal statment/interviews as something that shows you're interested in the subject. I think that, as long as you don't leave it to the last minute, then you won't find managing your grades and an EPQ at the same time hard (as long as you're doing 3 a-levels). Just pick a topic you're genuinely interested in and it often won't feel like work at all!

I'm doing 3
To be honest good A level grades and work experience /super curriculars are more useful than an EOQ.
