Post grad masters

Hi, I just started my final year of my biomed degree.

How would I go about applying for post graduate masters?
Hello! As someone who is going to be starting an MA this month, I find the application process for postgraduate courses a lot easier than for undergraduate courses.

This is because you apply to the University directly. So, in short, my application process was to go to an open day, learn about the courses, find the course I like > and then start writing a personal statement, asked here for help with that but I would use people at your Uni for that > then I asked the admissions tutor to check over my draft, who made an appointment to look it over with me and discuss the course and so forth, turned into an interview (this isn't a given I got lucky here) and was offered a place. It took a month.

Now obviously this isn't exactly how it will go but really just ask admissions at the Uni for help and don't stress too much about it. Remember, it is more about them making sure that the course is right for you, than you being right for the course.

thank you for replying. i see, would the timeline of having to do this the same as when you apply through ucas for undergraduate? what would the deadline be if i apply for a course starting entry 2025?

does having a undergrad degree make it easier to apply for a masters ? would it count as work experience?

You should be able to find the deadline on the university's website.

You're either going to have a reasonable grade (generally 2:1 or 1st) honours degree, or relevant work experience. What final grade are you expecting? Will your tutor provide a supporting reference?

There is generally a deadline for applying but for Sep 2025 you have plenty of time. I'm not sure what the deadline would be for Jan, as the other response says, you would need to contact the admissions team or speak to a tutor.
