Dental Hygiene & Therapy

Is this degree very competitive and are good GCSE and ALEVEL grades a must?

I can't say how competitive it is (it's definitely not as competitive as medicine, veterinary science, or dentistry though), but the grades required aren't particularly high. Most ask for BBBs at A Level and above 4s at GCSEs.

The list of approved degrees that you would need in order to go into dental hygiene and therapy in the UK are on the following page (not all of them listed are undergrad degrees, so look through them carefully):

As a previous dental applicant, dental hygiene and therapy is much more competitive course than the degrees listed above. It is the second hardest to get into after graduate entry medicine and dentistry, as indicated through freedom of information requests sent to universities that have a DHT course, and through research gathered by the website 'Admissionreport.com'.
