Which A level should i choose between Chemistry and Biology?

I am just 2 days in A levels and i chose physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology.

i got a 8 in mathematics, 7 in physics and 6 in both chemistry and biology
my teacher wants me to drop chemistry or biology so i can have more time preparing for 3 subjects and get better grades..

do you think i should drop one? if so which one? Personally i like biology more but i heard is more like an ''useless'' alevel without chemistry..
or should i not drop any and prove the teachers wrong? 😭
Yeah i think you should drop one probably, you only need three subjects for unis and your grades in bio and chem are a bit lower.
What do you want to do at uni or as a career?
If you prefer biology then take it, maybe look through the specs to see if the topics appeal to you more 🙂 It’s not true that you cant do anything with bio if you dont have chem. You’ll have a lot of options with these subjects in STEM fields- maybe browse some degrees on a site like uniguide and check the uni specific subject requirements (if you’re using uniguide dont trust the subjects they tell you are required!).
Ive just started a levels in Maths, Physics and Biology. In the future i plan to go into ecology or zoology related fields- chem isnt needed for this. Also in my biology class, there are like 12 of us and only two do chem as well.
Hope this helps and best of luck with your decision!

can you suggest me a site to check uni specific subject requirements? its really hard to find one..
I'm still looking through the courses, i wanted to do psychology first but i heard its very hard to find a job nowadays with that degree.. now im thinking about IT, but im not really sure anymore since i was mostly thinking about medical field until i achieved a low mark in chemistry and biology.

I think 3 subjects is a good bet and unless the course you are thinking of doing has particular requirements I would stay with the subject you prefer. Maths A level is universally high credibility, chemistry does appear to be a bit more regarded than biology. Some Medicine courses do not require biology which seems strange.

on uniguide if you scroll to the bottom of a subject course guide there are example courses from different unis. If you click on the course it’ll tell you the requirements. Hope that helps
In terms of a career, I firmly believe that you should do what you love- its not always necessarily what pays well but if you love what you do and make a decent living i think that’s better than earning a lot and being miserable. Career pilot is very good for looking at different jobs and how to get them i think

Dropping one would be a very good idea

I honestly think chemistry pairs better with physics and maths than biology, but it really comes down to what you prefer and what sorts of things you might want to do post A level.
