should i change one of my alevels?

Hi! I just started year 12. I was going to be doing geography, biology, and environmental science but maybe a week before college started they cancelled environmental science! So I switched to maths but so far I feel completely out of my depth and I'm thinking of changing it. I got the minimum grade to do maths alevel (7) but I just don't get any of it. I'm stressing more about maths than my other alevels that I might actually want to do something with in the future. It's just a constant headache in every lesson trying to keep up. Is this just the normal jump from GCSE to alevel or am I wasting my time? I might change to chemistry so if anyone has any advice then that would be amazing, thanks!
What do you want to do at uni?
How did you do in chem at gcse- how well did you do, did you enjoy it, ease to revise?
A 7 is a good grade at gcse to progress to a level however if you’re struggle and dont enjoy the subject it might be a good idea to switch.

Geography, Biology and Maths is a very good combo if you are looking to go to University, as they are all linked. But if maths is too hard then chemistry could be a good pick too if your looking to do something in medicine.

Thanks for the reply! I'm not really sure what I want to do at uni, but I think I'd like to do something to do with animals in the future. I got a 6 in chemistry (triple) and I found it...okay? I'm not a massive fan of it but I don't hate it either, I'm mostly racking my brain for anything that goes with my subjects and that's all that comes to mind. I have thought about maybe doing medieval history because I find it interesting but I don't have any future plans related to it so I'm not sure if it would be worth switching to it.

If you think you’d enjoy history then switching could be a good idea! Biology plus geography will meet the subject requirements for a lots of ecology related degrees (im interested in the same things like animals so I’ve looked and chem isnt needed!). How did you do in gcse history, if you took it?

Again, thanks so much for the advice, it's really helpful! I think I'm leaning more towards chemistry right now. I got a 5 in GCSE history but it varied a lot based on the topic (eg I was pretty awful at the cold war but pretty good at medicine through time). I'll talk to my tutor about it tomorrow and see what would work with my timetable and grades etc. thanks for the help 🙂
