Which universities are worth applying to?

I am applying to universities this year for BSc Accounting and Finance. My predicted grades are A*AB in Maths, Biology, Chemistry respectively. My GCSEs are all 9s but one 8 in Business. I was wondering whether it was worth me still applying to maybe 2 more challenging universities where I don’t exactly make the entry requirements and 3 safe ones where I do (Bath, Bristol, Loughborough); for the two challenging ones, would it be worth applying to 2 out of Warwick, Leeds, KCL, Birmingham, QMUL. If I should, which 2 would be most likely for me to get an offer from out of these 5? Thank you so much

The usual advice is to apply to one aspiriational choice, three at your predicted grades, and one insurance option a grade or two below your predictions. You don't have to apply to all five choices at the same time so you could add a risky choice and a couple of 'at' choices first, and then add your other choices later once you have received some replies. Just make sure that all five choices are added by the January deadline.
For the aspirational choice, which out of these unis would u recommend with my grades?

Whichever one you would be happy to attend and where you could see yourself living for three years. Which course do you prefer, are there any optional modules, is there a placement year option (which will add a lot to your graduate CV)? I've not looked at the grade requirements, but an aspirational choice shouldn't be way above your predicted - just a grade or perhaps two if you really think you can improve by exam time.

Would applying to AAA unis with A*AB count as applying to an aspirational university?

It depends on the uni. If they're making offers with UCAS points then no, it will be equivalent.

If they aren't, then I would say yes.

Yes - for the unis you have listed above they look at grades not points.

Yes, as you don't meet the requirements.
