making my own notes

I NEED HELP
its been 4 days of year 12 and ive made studysmarter flashcards and stayed on top of my homework. i know i should be doing more and i want to do more like watching videos and exam questions but we havent done much content so i dont really have knowledge to apply. ik that its also good to make notes. one of my friends whos doing crim and psych showed me her notes/homework - and it was just some aesthetic notes which were very neatly presented, I LOVE THOSE TYPE OF NOTES and making them..but i dont want just rewrite notes because i feel like it wont help me :frown: theres also this other girl in my bio who makes notes in a textbook with barely any highlighting, it makes me feel like i should be doing way more.. its only DAY 4 but i feel like im losing sanity and MY WILL TO LIVE ik i shouldnt focus on others but i find it hard not too (i might rant abt this in another post another day😞😞😞)
Don't worry yourself about the notes just yet. What you're doing is perfectly fine for the first month. When you get a test in class I think you should start applying your knowledge by doing exam question.
Make sure you focus on understanding the topics and your all good. Good luck x
Sorry to hear you're struggling with this. You mentioned, it's been four days of year 12. When I first started year 12 I was very nervous as well because I wasn't sure how to revise either. However, it's still very early days for your revision. Well done on making flashcards and staying on top of homework; you're off to a good start  Now, since it's early days, you could try and make some 'aesthetic notes' and see if they help you. If they help, great! you found a new revision technique and if they don't help, that's okay because there's plenty of other revision techniques out there and at least you tried one technique out, right? Other revision techniques involve mind maps, blurting, exam questions, watching topic videos in YouTube etc. It's your revision, so you need to find what works best for you. Best of luck for year 12, if you have any other questions I'll be happy to answer the best I can
