A level choices

Hi I’m in year 12 less than 1 week in and I’ve chosen biology, psychology and DT Textiles and I’m thinking about changing biology to History.

Is this a smart idea ?

I am aiming for good universities some Russell groups some not and I was just wondering if my subjects could hurt my chances.

I am split between a career path in fashion, marketing or business or in midwifery and or therapy

I am so torn.
The leading factors for me changing a levels is the facilities at my school. It’s split between 2 campuses and the campus where I’m taking psychology is not great it doesn’t have a large enough study area so half of the time I’m left to wonder around the school.

I don’t have much time to switch my subjects and I want to make a smart decision.

Please can you give me some advice and your thoughts on what you think is best.

Hi,
What subjects you take doesn’t really matter when applying for university for most of your career path choices apart from midwifery which you would definitely benefit from having biology, your university chances definitely wouldn’t be affected.

However, if you think you’d enjoy history more then biology then switch, in A-level you definitely benefit doing subjects you enjoy especially in subjects like biology which I’ve heard is hard. I understand the facilities may be annoying but I think if your torn just go for the subject you would have more enjoyment in taking.

Hope this helps ☺️
