Failed my ucat

Hi guys.. I failed my ucat. I got 2130 band 3 which is disgusting. I am mostly depressed knowing that all of my work was for nothing. Anyways. I am not giving up in medicine no matter what. What should I do now? I have AAA predicted and lots of work experience and good extracurriculars. Should I consider foundation year? I don’t want to take a gap year. Any advice would be very appreciated.

Do you meet any contextual criteria if so you may be able to apply to next step Bristol if you get in and complete this, it can guarantee an interview (so your ucat won't be looked at ). There may be some other programmes at other unis but this is the only one I know of. If you perform well in the interview you may receive an offer.
With your ucat there is a slim chance of getting into medical school this year in A100 without contextual factors. Correct me if I'm wrong but most foundation years also require some criteria to be met to apply. What makes you say no gap year? It sounds like you have been doing all the right things to build a strong application with grades and work experience so taking a year out to redo your ucat may be a good option.

Thank you so so much. I will look into the Bristol programme. I am not sure if I would have a chance in medicine A100 as i will be competing with people with ucat scores of 2700-3000+. However, I do meet contextual offers so I think it could help me. The only problem is my GCSEs aren’t too strong and so isn’t my ucat. I guess my only chance are my A levels and work experiences. I don’t want to take a gap year because I don’t really want to waste 1 year just doing ucat and working. Do you know if it is possible to apply to both foundation year medicine and standard medicine?

Yes it is perfectly acceptable to apply to both foundation year medicine and standard medicine courses at different unis. Most unis will have a restriction and say you can't apply to both of their A100 and their foundation course at the same uni. Also foundation years can have a limit on the predicted grades so they may say you can only apply if you're predicted ABB - BBC or something so look for that when applying.
With your gcses look for unis that don't score/rank applicants by gcses. Find ones that say after the minimum requirement is met they are not looked at you can find this information in admissions statements on the uni course page usually.
