Application prospects for MSc Financial Economics from Oxford

Hi there
I am a current student at LSE for Economics and Philosophy
I have taken more Quantitative/Economics modules than philosophical modules during my course and I plan to continue doing that just because I really enjoy learning that side of the course
I was wondering with this degree, do I make a competitive applicant for the oxford course as I am aware that many people apply with Economics or Finance related courses. Is my course choice quantitative enough and do the admissions check the modules taken?
Honest feedback would be appreciated!

I know that every year quite a few students are admitted to the MPhil in economics from PPE and Oxford’s other economics joint schools, so long as they have focussed more on the economics side/taken more quantitative modules, i.e. what sounds like basically the same situation as yours. I’m not as familiar with the MSc in financial economics but I can’t imagine that it’s any more quantitatively demanding than the MPhil, so I don’t think that your course choice should be a problem.

Edit: I actually remembered that they sent around an email recently specifically advertising the MSc to Oxford PPE students so, yeah, I really don’t think LSE economics and philosophy will be an issue at all.
