I spent time getting to know my flatmates, including going out to some of the official BCUSU parties and also staying in the flat.

I visited the welcome fair. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the different societies, buy a cheap Domino’s pizza and get some freebies from different businesses.

I had a few days timetabled in university. For my course, this involved meeting lots of the lecturers, finding out more about the course and meeting the people in my teaching group.

When I did not have anything scheduled, I explored the area as I was new to Birmingham. This included visiting Bullring to buy some of the things that I had forgotten to bring with me!
