I liked GYG last year because there was a very supportive community behind you even when things were difficult. I enjoyed having a place to share my experience during sixth form as well.
I liked the GYG community bc it was a place to discuss subjects and find people that took the same things and you. It also was good to keep yourself applied to your studies as many people were looking at your blog to see what you did
It’s a great place to journal and note any details! (e.g. When a prep is due)
I loved it last year because the community kept growing and everyone was so supportive and it helps to find people who relate to your year and your subjects and also to ask for advice and get to know new people
Love the gyg community, its almost like an academic diary, its friendly and u can make suggestions and learn more from ppl. Still debating on whether to make my own gyg this year...

I have a condition called procrastination. I assumed it wasn't common for ppl doing gcse and I was just lazy.(lazier because ik I am kinda lazy) but I realised that everyone is going through some form of this condition too. it's easier to keep myself accountable to help treat this condition

All jokes aside I've never seen a place where people are realistic about their gcse and how they revise. You only see the results mainly and then you ask them for advice and they go "Yeah I just revise, or yeah I just did past papers" but it's so much more than that and it wasn't until I came across gygs I noticed that is a place where people can realistically share experiences with gcses including the ups and the downs. The sense of community here is crazy

Rambling again 👀 but

I loved GYG last year because it really helped me to feel less alone with the ups and downs of alevels - it helped to see other people in the country going through similar highs and lows to me! It also really helped me to stay motivated to study and plan my tasks for the day effectively. I've started a new GYG for this year as I want to document how my life changes as I go to uni and continue being able to support and be supported by others in this incredible community! ❤️
I loved doing GYG blogs, it felt like my little corner of the site that I could customise however I wanted , and kept me on track with my studies :h:
last year i wanted to try to keep myself accountable for my work but i unfortunately abandoned my gyg, i came back this year because i wanna be productive
