I've replied on another thread, but you need level 3 qualification (A levels, BTECs, Access to HE diploma etc.) to apply for a midwifery degree.

So, are there any books I could prepare with? and entrance tests more or less you already know the dates?

There are no entrance tests for midwifery degrees. You apply to university courses via UCAS and your application needs to be submitted by the end of January. You can apply to a maximum of five unis on a UCAS application. Unis will then contact you and invite you for an interview. If you are succesful, they will make you an offer. If you already have your level 3 qualifications, the offer will be unconditional. If you are still taking your level 3 qualifications, then the offers will be conditional pending the results of your exams/assessments.

You can search for midwifery degree courses using the NHS course finder. Then you need to check the 'Entry requirements' section on the course page of the university website, to see if your qualifications meet the requirements. If you are unsure, then you can call the admissions department at the university.

I don't sorry. @moonkatt or @Tracey_W might be able to help with this.

From what I’ve read, neonatal units recruit adult or child trained nurses and midwives. To become a nicu nurse you’ll need to qualify as one of the above then apply for a band 5 post as a nicu nurse.

I agree with what moonkatt has said to you about what you need to do to become a neonatal intensive care nurse.

What qualifications do you need to be a neonatal nurse UK....
Entry requirements and training to be a neonatal nurse

You need to be a registered adult nurse, child nurse or midwife to apply for a job as a neonatal nurse. Some employers may ask for experience or knowledge of neonatal nursing issues eg. handling bereavements or related areas, for example breast feeding.

Do your research on each university you want to do your nursing degree at and when you are in your final year as a student nurse you'll be able to start applying for different jobs including maybe NICU but you'll have to see what the requirements are for that particular NHS health trust for the job.

NHS registered midwife.
