There is no absolute answer imo, it depends on your strengths. They are very different games.
English: You need to interpret texts and have critical thinking to create arguments about them. Your obviously need strong written comm skills and be able to see nuances in language and structure
Psych: You need to like scientific methods and research studies. You must know how to do data analysis, it's more scientific than English. Same as English you will need to evaluate theories and criticise them. You also need to be comfortable with essay writing. There is more science: statistical analysis involved than english. Obivously you must enjoy understanding human behaviour.
I'd say the key difference is the scientific part of psych that is not in English imo.
If I were you, I'd practice an essay for English and Psych on Tilf website, based on a past exam question just to see how high the mark is for each of them. That will give you an idea if you have easier way to reach top grades in one subject. Then obviously you need to enjoy the subject but this, only you know.
