I find psychology easier to do well in than English though I enjoy English far more. In psychology, you just need to get to grips with the mark scheme and its demands from the very start, and if you keep on top of the information and regularly revise (do practice questions, flashcards) you should be fine. I enjoy English way more though. I find the lessons far more engaging and it's really rewarding when you do well in it because it's so much more subjective and complex. If you're enjoying Psychology more than English right now, it's probably a sign to take it. This is your time and your life so you might as well focus on doing something you'll enjoy. That will naturally make it easier to do well in.

Choose psychology because you’ll do well if you like it. Psychology is easier if you enjoy science and English if you enjoy essays.

There is no absolute answer imo, it depends on your strengths. They are very different games.

English: You need to interpret texts and have critical thinking to create arguments about them. Your obviously need strong written comm skills and be able to see nuances in language and structure

Psych: You need to like scientific methods and research studies. You must know how to do data analysis, it's more scientific than English. Same as English you will need to evaluate theories and criticise them. You also need to be comfortable with essay writing. There is more science: statistical analysis involved than english. Obivously you must enjoy understanding human behaviour.

I'd say the key difference is the scientific part of psych that is not in English imo.

If I were you, I'd practice an essay for English and Psych on Tilf website, based on a past exam question just to see how high the mark is for each of them. That will give you an idea if you have easier way to reach top grades in one subject. Then obviously you need to enjoy the subject but this, only you know.
