What’s the chance of getting into Oxford?

Currently studying:
BTEC National Extended Certificate in Law (D)
BTEC National Extended Certificate in Psychology (D*)
A Level Sociology (A)
A Level English Lit & Lang (New)
EPQ (New)
Brackets are the grades I achieved in my first year. Last two I just signed up for for year 13.

At GCSE, I achieved 99987776666 - 9 was in eng lit, Eng Lang, and history. 8 in Geo. 7 in maths, biology, physics. And the 6s were Chem, German, art and re.

Do I have a realistic chance of getting into Oxford for LLB law?

I’m thinking of where to apply and want to know what u think my options should be out of:
York
RHUL
Oxford
Warwick
Durham
KCL
Lancaster
Exeter
Bristol

Hi!

I'm not sure about Oxford University's grade boundaries, but here is all the information for Law at Lancaster University - https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/law-llb-hons-m100/2025/. Here, our Law degree asks for AAB, which you seem to be on track for anyway!

Out of that list I would consider not only the course structure, but also the city itself and accomodation. Lancaster is in the top 10 in 'The Complete University Guide 2025', and we are a campus-based university. We have many accomodation types to fit the student, more information can be found here: https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/accommodation/undergraduate/

I would encourage you to look at each place's course structure too, and what you wish to achieve by the end of your degree. Open days are an amazing way to get a 'feel' for each university - Lancaster's upcoming open days are the 14th of September and the 12th of October.

Feel free to post any other questions you may have surrounding Lancaster university, whether that is course structure or living in Lancaster, as I would be happy to answer them! Good luck with your decision!
