Dbs application document check for university
Hey everyone,
I’m in a bit of a bind and need some advice regarding the documents for my DBS application. I’ve already enrolled at university for an Early Childhood Studies course, and I got the email to do my DBS application yesterday (Monday, 11th September 2024). The university needs me to complete the DBS process by 16th September.
From the list of documents I can provide, I have my passport, and I can get a bank statement, but I’ll need to call my bank for a physical copy because they won’t accept online or home-printed ones. I was also considering getting my name added to a utility bill and requesting a letter, but that could take 1-2 weeks, which would be too late.
One of the other options I have is to get an education letter from my college or school. I’ve finished college now, but I can go back and ask them for the letter. However, I’m unsure what exactly to ask for in this letter. Does anyone know what kind of information should be included in an educational letter for DBS purposes? Should it be signed by the head teacher/principal?
Any advice on what to ask for or how to proceed would be super helpful! 🥲
