Why was the grade boundaries so high this year? And did anybody else drop significantly from their mocks?

I'm currently in Y11 right now but my English teacher told me the grade boundary went up by 11 marks for Pearson Edexcel and even though we had many predicted grade 9s nobody got on at our school.

It was so unexpected, no one could predict an increase that high. I belive they could of fore warned this.
