student loan (urgent)
I'm taking a gap year this year because at the moment I'm not eligible to student finance due to my residence permit as it says (no access to public funds).However, I will be getting my indefinite leave to remain next year in December 2025. My question is will i still be eligible for student finance since I will be getting the indefinite leave to remain in December rather than before September 2025?

Hi there,
You need to hold the correct status before the start of the academic year to apply for finance. If your course starts September 2025 you would need to hold the correct status before 01/09/2025.
