Uni with grade ccc

I got my results back in august and it was not what I expected. I got grade CCC when I was predicted to get ABB. I would like to study PPE and I was hoping to take a gap year and apply again. But I realised I can’t do that because most uni require at least two B for PPE. However the same unis do take lower grades for PPE through clearing. So I was wondering if I would be able to apply through clearing next year?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Update: I am really grateful for any advices I’ve received. However I realised it might just be best for me to not take a gap year as I’ve gotten a uni offer now. Thanks everyone 😊

Are you retaking any subjects?
@Longhairnot ,

Often in life things don't end up how you expected them to but that absolutely does not mean its the end of the line. It sounds like a good idea for you to take a gap year. Is there a chance to resit your A-levels during you gap year? This might give you the chance to improve your grades and give you the very best chance of getting into PPE next year at a university you'd genuinely want to go to rather than looking through clearing.

Alternatively, you could look into courses with a foundation year included. For example, Swansea offer a Politics with a foundation year course, and UWE Bristol offer a Philosophy with foundation year course - check out some other unis and see if they do something similar if you wanted to apply with your CCC.

I hope that helps, best of luck for the future :smile:
