I have recently received an invitation for an interview for the Dentistry program at the University of Dundee. This is a wonderful opportunity, and I am eager to prepare thoroughly to present myself in the best possible way.

As I am from Ukraine, where the university admission process is different, I have never encountered interviews as part of the selection process. In Ukraine, admission is typically based solely on academic grades, so this interview format is new and unfamiliar to me.

I have already been preparing with a tutor who works with students applying to medical programs, to improve my interview skills. However, she mentioned that the format for dental interviews may differ significantly, and she advised me to seek help from senior dental students or graduates.

I am looking for a tutor who has experience conducting interviews at the University of Dundee for the Dentistry BDS program, or perhaps students or graduates who are familiar with the interview process and the faculty members who conduct them. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to have a few lessons or consultations to better understand how to prepare for this interview.

I would also be grateful for any advice or information on this matter from current dental students or alumni of the program.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, I don't think this is the right forum for your questions. Current dental students or alumni won't likely be active on here. Reach out on their Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/share/18fGN2T6pi/ I can vouch that the Dental School staff are lovely though!

Hullo,
Mature student who’s accepted an unconditional offer for Geog. and Environmental Science a bit of a change from my original plan for Plant Sciences, but I am no biochemist and will enjoy the broader emphasis. I particularly look forward to the classes on biogeography and the Polar regions.

Why Dundee? Really as simple as “they seem a good crowd” on Open Day and in spite of the press hoopla at the moment have been nothing but accommodating.

Applied for hallstoday NB for other mature applicants, they do try to match ages so things ought to run smoothly, though hard luck to anyone who gets stuck with me! Not the most fun bloke you’ll ever meet, I’m afraid, nose always stuck in books.
