Flight attendant confusion

I’m currently studying a level 3 travel and tourism course in college as I want to be a flight attendant when im older but I was reading about it and apparently you need to have 5 GCSEs at grade 9, but I got 4s in all my subjects, 2 5s and 1 6. I’m a bit worried now that I won’t be able to become a flight attendant, so is anyone able to confirm this so I can at least swap college courses so I don’t study for nothing?

I think this depends on the individual airline. However, most would just ask for anything above 4s.

Personally, I can understand the need for 4s in English Language and Maths, but I can't understand the rest.

For comprehensive information on the job profile, see:

If necessary, you can always resit some of the GCSE subjects as a private candidate (or at an adult college, if they offer the GCSE subject).

I have yet to come across an airline that requires 5 GCSEs at grade 9 for anything (not even piloting). I would want to know the source of that information.
