Define 'do' humanitarian aid deployments. Any kind of operation will involve a vast range of people, from admin to logistics to technicians to medics; it's not just about boots on the ground.

Have you looked at the British Army Recruitment website to see which roles you are interested in?

you obviously have no idea about the military, humanitarian aid deployments are like normal deployments, instead of combat, you are sent to recently taken areas that have been heavily damaged and help the injured, this could also be a scenario were you are sent to a country that is at war with its self and help refugees and set up refugee camps

The point being made was that any such deployment is supported by a wide range of services. I'm not really sure what you were correcting or aggrieved by?

Sixteen years in the RAF and a further 7 with the MoD in support of the RAF.

As an Aerospace Engineer I'm involved in humanitarian aid deployments if I ensure the readiness of the aircraft and that could be at home base. Intelligence and Infantry are very different roles, so I'm trying to ascertain the OP's interests.

Humanitarian aid deployments aren't just about war zones.

The military can help in times of severe floods, famine and earthquake.
