Should I let my predicted grades be 2 A*’s and 2 A’s or 3A*’s and a B

Currently my predicted grades are 2A*’s in Computer Science and Economics and 2 A’s in Maths and Further Maths. My maths teacher came up to me today and said I can change my predicted A in maths to an A* but then my FM will go down to a B. I’m planning to apply to actuarial science at LSE and University of Manchester which both want and A* in maths but I’m worried that my B in FM will worsen my chances if I don’t stick with just 2 A’s for maths and FM instead. I already passed the window to apply for resits so now I’m stuck with these 2 options. Any advice would be appreciated!

as long as it doesn’t require a certain further maths grade i believe an A* in maths is by far more important even if it sacrifices the A in fm

If they require an A* in maths and you apply with a prediction of A then you are likely to be rejected. Therefore the second option looks far better.

Tbh that's a really weird decision your teacher is making you take. That's not how predicted grades should work.
